I started working for Anytime Fitness at the beginning of August. I was hired into the company as an assistant manger, and intended on doing my mentorship with my general manager as she helped me grow within the company and hopefully get my own club one day. Well, here we are and the manager of another club close by has quit, and I have the opportunity to take over her club. Today, I talked about the promotion and expectations with my district manager and she decided to set me up on a 30 day "kick start" to see how things go. If I can adapt to their style and run the club successfully, it will be mine, but I have to prove myself over the next 30 days. Today, I became a little more familiar with the daily structure of a general manager as I tried to stick to it through the whole day and dealt more hands on with prospecting outreach and customer service tasks.

I spent a lot of time today working on my scripts for calling people. Prospect outreach is a huge part of what I am going to have to do on a regular basis so I want to make sure I am comfortable and smooth on the phone, whether it be leaving a voicemail or speaking directly to them. Today, I took a lot of notes in regard to key words and phrases I need to use when making calls and ways to perfect the time I spend on the phone so I can work on bringing new members in.
