Just to keep the week interesting, I also had the experience of dealing with the police today as a business manager. There were some people loitering on the parking lot, that ended up being on drugs. It made members uncomfortable and they felt unsafe leaving the building. I got a good amount of calls and Facebook messages, and even calls to my personal phone at like midnight with complaints of the loiterers, so they called the police because they didn’t know what to do. So then, today at work I had to call the police and get the police report and file an incident report for our operations team, which was all new to me. It ended up being pretty easy so I didn’t have to stress over it too much, so I got it all taken care of, and now I know how to do it. But, I wish it wouldn’t have happened at all because I don’t like the idea of members not feeling safe or comfortable leaving or coming into the facility at night because that is the beauty of Anytime Fitness, it’s 24/7. So people can come and go as they please, whomever it is convenient for them. Having set times that you can go to the gym will deter people from wanting to sign up because it might not work out in their schedule. The more into this place and this field that I get, I think that Anytime offers some great amenities for the price that they charge and I stand behind it.
