I think my favorite part of the mentorship so far his how much I am growing as a manager. Before this job, the only management experience I had was in a clothing store, I was in lower level management there. Here, I am still in lower level management, but it is more related to what I specifically have a degree in, and what I am interested in pursing for a career in the future. It’s sports management. I know I want to work in amendment of some sort, and I want it to be in a sports setting of some sort. I don’t know if I would say my dream is to be in management of a gym as a long term career, but it is definitely getting me some solid experience. I think my least favorite part of the job has probably been the amount of stress and time that I have put in, I can only imagine what it will be like in the future. I understand that hard work has to go in to achieve the goals that you want, and I am not trying to say that I don’t want to work or that I am not willing to put in the work, it has just turned out to be a lot more than I was bargaining for, I am just hoping it will pay off, whether it be in the form of a promotion or a higher level job with another company. I don’t think this is my long term, I don’t even know is a promotion is something I would be interested in right now. I am just trying to stay above water and continue working on myself for the sake of my future.
