Today was a completely different day than normal. This is what we call, End of Month day. Rather than making prospect phone calls and go marketing, I am supposed to focus on revamping the club and doing some deep cleaning. I have a Google form to follow to make sure I cover everything that needs to be done. First I have to go through and do some administrative things like tracking how many cancels that I had in the prior month. Then I go through and find out how many pending cancelations I have. Every cancellation is done on a 30 day notice so they are all pending cancellation within the 30 day span, so I calculate how many are in that period. Then, I go through and calculate how many people are to go to collections in the upcoming month. Then, I go through and find how many people are on memberships that are not set to renew.
After that, I spend some time deep cleaning the club and redoing all of our boards. We have a magnetic board that I put new recipes, each months birthdays, and our top 15 users on each month. We also have a chalkboard that we decorate each month. Some designs are interactive and some are not, just depending on what I feel like drawing that month. I also have a monthly challenge that I put up on one of my office windows to create some friendly competition within the gym. Then I have a community board that I post flyers on and update each month for outdated things and to post new flyers I have. I also spend time on this day creating my marketing plan for the month and decide what businesses I'm going to go to and on what days. After that, I go through and plan member appreciation day for the upcoming month, what activities do I want have going on that day? What supplies do I need? And what businesses do I want to have come in? Lastly, I go through and check the alarm system, fire extinguishers, lights, restart, the wifi and camera system, and check that all equipment is working properly.
